PAPER PULP MOULDING PLANT

Sustainability is the fundamental driver behind Dulsco’s vision for our communities. Another link in the circular economy chain, our Paper Pulp Moulding Plant will put to use recyclable paper collected during our regular waste collection operations. This facility produces quality paper-pulp moulded products to serve various industrial sectors like agriculture, poultry, healthcare and food sectors. Biodegradable, organic and disposable in nature, our products will lessen environmental impact in two ways: diverting waste from landfills and reducing plastics in the local supply chain.

MATERIAL RECOVERY FACILITY

It all started when we built our first manual sorting plant in support of the UAE’s mandate to reduce landfills. With that facility already exceeding capacity, recovering over 40 tonnes of recyclables per day, we will soon be commissioning a new state-of-the-art material recovery facility capable of sorting 240 tonnes of multiple waste streams per day, maximising our ability to reinvent, reimagine, repurpose and reuse our customers’ waste. The cutting-edge MRF plant further bolsters our positioning to handle the recyclables for Expo 2020 Dubai.

OIL RE-REFINERY PROCESSING PLANT

Dulsco has established a state-of-the-art Oil Re-Refinery in Jebel Ali which would be capable of handling all types of hydrocarbon waste oils from marine, oil & gas and process industries. This unique facility in Dubai is fully complied with the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and Marine Emergency Mutual Aid Centre (MEMAC) requirements for processing all types of oily waste in the region. This speaks volumes about our commitment to forward-thinking solutions for better communities. Our mission is to play a leading national role in implementing sustainable infrastructure for the future. We do this by ensuring that our values are applied through investment, expertise and education in circular economy best practices and recycling projects. Contributing to the UAE’s Environmental Vision 2021, the fully integrated facility will handle 2000 tons of oily slop and sludge per month and recover fuel oil and irrigation quality recycled water through a self-sustainable centrally automated operation. This fully automated facility is totally integrated and self-sustainable.

CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION WASTE RECYCLING

As one of the fastest developing countries in the world, the UAE is home to an unprecedented number of industrial and construction projects. But the resulting waste amounts to more than 50% of the total waste generated a figure far higher than any other types of waste generated in the region.

As part of a unique agreement with the UAE Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Dulsco has built and owns and operates construction and demolition waste processing plants in Ajman and Umm Al Quwain exclusively under the respective municipalities. These facilities today recycle the entire Construction and Demolition wastes from these emirates and converts this into recycled subbase and aggregates which finds use back in the construction Industry replacing upto 40% of the virgin materials.

Diverting waste from dump sites, we wield our expertise to process a wide variety of materials back into commercial use. A good example is the recycling of concrete into sub-base, which can be used for building new roads and infrastructure, in turn reducing costs and the need for virgin quarrying. Our Glass Upcycling initiative allows us to repurpose glass collected from community, construction and commercial waste streams into unique products.
